On behalf of the entire team here at The Banner, we wish to convey our deepest and heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and encouragement we have received in launching this new endeavor for our community and extended family across Western Kentucky. We were inspired to begin this journey together with you, after witnessing so many in our surrounding communities come together to support one another through what has arguably been the most difficult year of our lives. Thus was born the mission statement of our infant newspaper, “Locals Supporting Locals”.

It is in that spirit that we aim and desire to provide our readers with accurate, informative news and happenings from our surrounding area, as well as offering, encouraging and uplifting articles that we hope you will find helpful and useful in your everyday lives. We are excited to bring you bi-weekly sections such as History and Heritage, The Pet Parade, Hometown Harvest, Gourmet Corner, Spotlight On Business, Life and Lifestyles, The Swap Shop Classifieds, and Calendar of Events.
