Suspicious person complaint leads to arrest

Caldwell County Sheriff Chris Noel reports that on November 2, 2022, at 10:29 p.m., Caldwell County Sheriff Deputies received information in reference to a suspicious person near the 7000 block of Sandlick Road. Upon arriving at the scene and further investigation, Deputy Evan Head charged and arrested Lindsey Harper, 33, unknown address, with Public Intoxication of a Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol). Ms. Harper was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.

1.On Monday, October 24, 2022, around 7:05am, Sheriff Brent White was dispatched with the Eddyville Fire Department to the 200 block of Hummingbird Lane in Old Eddyville regarding a complaint of outdoor burning during the burn ban period. Upon arrival, contact was made with Michael W. Mussato (58) of Stinson Beach, CA. He was found to have been burning leaves very close to a wood line. He was charged with a Fire Hazard Season Burning violation and summoned to district court. The fire was extinguished by Eddyville Fire Department.
2.On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, around 10:45am, Sheriff Brent White received a scam complaint from a citizen. The citizen fell victim to a scam whereby their computer router was hacked, and his screen displayed a message indicating his computer had been compromised and he needed to call Microsoft immediately to remedy the issue. Once the citizen called the number, they accessed his computer and immediately retrieved banking information which they used to ruse the victim into withdrawing multiple sums out of his account. The matter remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigators.
3.On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, around 9:45am, Sheriff Brent White and Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to a welfare check complaint at the Exit 45 Marathon station. Upon arrival, they discovered two juveniles from East Tennessee who were moving to Missouri. Their U-Haul truck was pulling a trailer in tow in which the tongue had broken loose from the trailer’s frame. Sheriff White called a local cattleman to the scene, who assisted the juveniles and their family in trailering several head of livestock, poultry, and a duck to Missouri.
4.On Thursday, October 27, 2022, around 8:15pm, Deputy Jeremy Hillyard was dispatched to a single vehicle collision on US 641, approximately 1.2 miles North of Eddyville. The investigation revealed a 1995 Ford van driven by Freddy S. Tramel (66) of Marion was Southbound on US 641 when a deer entered his path. The driver steered the vehicle off the roadway to avoid the deer and then struck a tree. Tramel refused medical attention at the scene. Deputy Hillyard was assisted at the scene by Deputy Joe Witherspoon and Lyon County EMS.
5.On Friday, October 28, 2022, around 8:15am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams served a Russell County bench warrant on Dusty Wise (39) of Hyden charging her with Contempt of Court. She is being held in the Ross-Cash Correctional Complex pending extradition back to Russell County.
6.On Friday, October 29, 2022, around 9:10am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams served a Pulaski County bench warrant on Robert Beal (34) of Danville charging him with Failure to Appear. He is being held in the Western KY Correctional Complex pending extradition back to Pulaski County.
7.On Sunday, October 30, 2022, around 9:50am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on US 62 in Kuttawa. The investigation revealed a 2019 Mini-Cooper being driven by Amanda S. Rivas (45) of Norcross, GA was exiting I-24 on the Westbound off-ramp when she hydroplaned near the intersection and lost control before pulling into the path and colliding with a 2016 Lincoln driven by Beverly Stephenson (70) of Kuttawa who was Eastbound on US 62. No injuries were reported; however, both vehicles sustained significant damage.

Caldwell County Sheriff Chris Noel reports that on October 25, 2022, at 3:59 p.m., Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of 139 in reference to a reckless driver complaint. Upon locating the vehicle and further investigation, Deputy Evan Head charged and arrested, Shanna Spurlock, 51, of Cadiz, KY, with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol 2nd Offense, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of an Open Alcohol Container. Ms. Spurlock was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail. Deputy Head was assisted on scene by Sheriff Chris Noel.

1.On October 25, 2022 at 7:36 PM officers arrested Jason C. Flynn, 37, Princeton on a Caldwell County Bench Warrant charging him with Failure to Pay Fines.

2.On October 25, 2022 at 7:39 PM officers arrested Jonathan R. Ketchey, 50, Princeton on a Caldwell County Bench Warrant charging him with a Probation Violation for a Felony Offense.

Caldwell County Sheriff Chris Noel reports that on October 24, 2022, at 7:49 p.m., Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of KY Highway 902E in reference to individuals trespassing on the property. Deputy Kenneth Vincent arrived on scene and after further investigation, Deputy Vincent arrested Taylor Jackson, 30, and Jeffrey Lewis, 27, both of Varmint Trace, Princeton, KY. Both Ms. Jackson and Mr. Lewis were charged with Criminal Trespassing 1st Degree and lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.

Caldwell County Sheriff Chris Noel reports the following arrests over the weekend –
1.On October 21, 2022, at 12:04 a.m., a Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle repeatedly stopping in the roadway and conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Mechanic and Garrett Street. Upon further investigation, Deputy Kenneth Vincent charged and arrested Larry Currie, 49, of Madison, TN, with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol and Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operators License. Mr. Currie was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
2.On October 22, 2022, at 9:46 a.m., Caldwell County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to Railroad Lane in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arriving at the scene and further investigation, Deputy Kenneth Vincent charged and arrested Jonathan Millikan, 34, unknown address, with Theft of a Motor Vehicle Registration Plate and Fugitive from another State. Mr. Millikan was wanted out of the State of Indiana. Mr. Millikan was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
3.Also on October 22, 2022, at 8:48 p.m., Caldwell County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to Alexander Road in reference to a possible assault. Upon arriving at the scene and further investigation, Deputy Evan Head charged and arrested Christopher Fox, 39, of Manitou, KY, with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place 1st & 2nd Offense and Assault 4th Degree Minor Injury. Mr. Fox was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
4.On October 23, 2022, at 12:13 a.m., a Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle disregard a stop sign and conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of US Highway 641/91. Upon further investigation, Deputy Evan Head charged and arrested Michael Bright, 28, of Henderson, KY, with Disregarding a Stop Sign and Operating on a DUI Suspended Operators License 1st Offense. Mr. Bright was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
5.Also on October 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., Caldwell County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to Webster Road in reference to a possible assault. Upon arriving at the scene and further investigation, Deputy Evan Head charged and arrested Jana Maulding, 42, of Webster Road, Princeton, KY, with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place 1st & 2nd Offense and Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree. Ms. Maulding was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
6.Also on October 23, 2022, at 5:42 p.m., while conducting an investigation during a traffic stop on I-69 near the 82 mile marker Deputy Kenneth Vincent charged and arrested Jeterius Johnson, 44, of Paducah, KY, with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree. Mr. Johnson was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
Lyon County Sheriff's report for October 16 - 20, 2022​

1.On Sunday, October 16, 2022, around 4:10pm, Sheriff Brent White responded to a UTV collision on Lake Barkley’s shoreline near the end of Green Road. The investigation revealed a 2022 Polaris RZR UTV was being operated by Chad Whitis (39) of Symsonia on the dry lakebed with four (4) additional passengers. The operator lost control and the UTV overturned, causing a female passenger, identified as Ashleylynn Whitis (31) of Kuttawa, who was seated in the rear, to be thrown to the front of the vehicle. This rollover event resulted in serious injury to Mrs. Whitis. She was life flighted by Air Evac to a Nashville hospital. The remaining four occupants were restrained and not injured in the collision. Sheriff White was assisted by Deputy David Carroll, the Kuttawa Fire Department, Lyon County EMS, and Air Evac.
2.On Sunday, October 16, 2022, around 5:15pm, Deputy David Carroll and Sheriff Brent White were departing the area of the UTV collision on Lake Barkley when they encountered a Toyota pickup parked in the roadway. Upon further investigation, it was determined the two occupants of the vehicle had set up a campsite on Corps of Engineers property in an unauthorized location and upon seeing law enforcement, they were attempting to flee the area. Additional investigation revealed the male and female occupants were wanted fugitives from McCracken County. Deputy Carroll arrested John M. Day (46) of Paducah and charged him with one Failure to Appear bench warrant and one Probation Violation (for felony offense) bench warrant from McCracken County. In addition, he was found to possess illegal narcotics. He was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and Drug Paraphernalia-Possession. Day was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center. Sheriff White charged Day’s passenger, identified as Justice B. Brown (24) of Paducah (formerly of Kuttawa) with Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia-Possession, and with a McCracken Circuit Contempt of Court bench warrant. Brown was also lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
3.On Monday, October 17, 2022, around 1pm, Deputy Jeremy Hillyard and Sheriff Brent White arrived at a residence in Saratoga Heights and located Chelsey D. Young (24) of Eddyville, who was the subject of a Caldwell Circuit Court bench warrant. She was arrested by Deputy Hillyard and charged with the Contempt of Court bench warrant. She was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
4.On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, Chief Deputy Sam Adams assisted the Kuttawa Fire Department and Lyon County EMS with a gas leak complaint at Landmark Nursing Home in Kuttawa. The leak was located and isolated by a repair vendor. There were no injuries nor damage resulting from this incident.
5.On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, around 12:30pm, Deputy Hillyard served Holly L. Stallins (41) of Eddyville on a Lyon District Court Criminal Complaint Summons charging her with Criminal Mischief in the 1st Degree. Stallins is alleged to have damaged a rental property in the amount of $2,000 prior to being evicted. The case was investigated by Chief Deputy Sam Adams.
6.On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, around 10:25pm, Deputy David Carroll responded to a single vehicle injury collision on KY 3305. The investigation revealed a 2011 Dodge Caravan driven by Destiny Copeland (24) of Princeton, was South bound when the vehicle’s wheel dropped off the right shoulder in a curve, resulting in the driver losing control before colliding with a concrete culvert and overturning. Copeland was transported to the Caldwell Medical Center by Lyon County EMS for treatment of her injuries. Eddyville Fire Department, Lyon County EMS, and Kentucky State Police assisted Deputy Carroll at the scene.
7.On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, around 9:20am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams arrested Austin M. King (29) of Cadiz, in Eddyville, and charged him with a Trigg District Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear. He was turned over to a Lyon County Deputy Jailer and transported to a detention center.
8.On Thursday, October 20, 2022, around 2:40pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams arrested Taylor Glass (33) of Kuttawa following an investigation which was initiated by KY Probation and Parole. Parole officers requested the assistance of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office due to community complaints regarding Glass, who was on felony supervised probation out of Lyon Circuit Court. Glass was found in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, various types of pills, drug paraphernalia, and illegal ammunition. Glass was charged with the following offenses:

In addition, Glass is facing a probation violation for felony offense action resulting from his supervision by KY Probation and Parole Officers. Glass was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
The investigation is continuing, and evidence was collected by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office which may result in additional charges against Glass. KY Probation and Parole, and Homeland Security Investigators assisted the Sheriff’s Office with this investigation.
